I'm excited to announce that  I am now available in dual locations of South Carolina, the Upstate and Myrtle Beach, and with enough planning, I can plan a session anywhere in-between.   I have many favorite locations, but if you have a setting where you would like to hold your session, I am willing to come to you.

Although I offer full studio services, I prefer photographing outdoors from early spring through summer and fall. I book outdoor sessions in the early morning or late afternoon/early evening depending on the season.  My favorite time is golden hour.  This is approximately 1/2 hour before and after sunrise/sunset.  Golden hour (or magic hour) is the time of day when the sun is low in the sky and casts a golden glow over  subjects with minimal shadows. When a light source is larger and closer relative to the subject, soft, diffused light is produced. Soft light is preferable for virtually any subject.  If  these times aren't in your schedule, we can usually find some shade, or if you plan to bring a guest, I can create shade with one of my many portable screens.  If lucky, we may even get a partly cloudy day which can  also be good photography light.    However, we should avoid midday sessions if at all possible, especially during the hot summer months.

Simple clothing is best. This keeps the focus on the face.  You should avoid bold patterns or tee shirts with logos or writing. Bring along an extra outfit or two, and I will advise on which works best. Bare feet works best for children. For babies, only a diaper cover is necessary. Bring baby blankets, hats, any favorite toys, stuffed animals or dolls. If a girl likes to play dress up, feel free to bring princess clothing and costume jewelry. Please, no large hair bows.   They tend to overpower a small child's face in a portrait.

Hate dragging the kids down to the local photo studio in their new outfits only to have them spoiled before your turn comes up? We'll bring the studio to your home with our portable studio equipment. Great for newborns who barely stay awake long enough to eat, dress and make it to the car. Plan your session around your child's schedule. We don't even mind suspending the session for a quick feeding since happy babies make great photos.
